Advanced Muscle Integration Technique (AMIT) is a system of precision diagnosis and treatment of common joint and muscle conditions. The technique is based on the understanding that if a muscle experiences injury or overload, it can result in an inhibition of that muscle’s function – like a circuit breaker has been tripped. If a joint of the body experiences injury or overload, any of the muscles crossing that joint can potentially experience inhibited function. An “inhibited” muscle will feel weak when tested for strength. The AMIT practitioner is trained to test muscle function to specifically identify which muscle or muscles are in this inhibited state. Therapeutic techniques are then used to correct inhibited function, taking a muscle from being “weak” to “strong” in a matter of minutes. This results in acceleration of healing and rehabilitation, reduction in pain, and enhanced performance. All without the need for drugs or surgery.
